Arrived in Rotterdam: our pontoon loaded with various hulls

Journey complete!

After a journey of over 100 days, our pontoon carrying newly built hulls has safely arrived in Rotterdam. The crew from Amasus in Delfzijl successfully completed the transport despite challenging weather conditions.

On our pontoon, which was built in China, we have two hulls for Holland Shipyards, two split barges for Wasa Dredging, and three Stan pontoons for Damen Gorinchem. The pontoon, with a deck area of 100 x 27.45 meters, has proven it’s strength and capabilities and will be available for sale in September.

We are very pleased with the smooth execution of the transport. In total, the tugboat traveled for 106 days, covering 12,260 nautical miles (22,666 kilometers). Dutch Marine Contractors served as the main contractor for this transport.

Since August 19th, the pontoon has been docked in Rotterdam’s Dockhaven. In early September, we will unload it in the Waalhaven. Afterward, we will use our own tugboats to deliver the hulls to their destinations in Gorinchem, Hardinxveld and Werkendam.
