The project came to us via the hydraulic engineering and construction department of Flora Nova BV. They were looking for a new partner to build the small ferry, and our (junior) team saw this as an exciting challenge.

Together with P.C. Kamp, we rolled up our sleeves to make the project a success. Young professionals from various companies also actively contributed, resulting in a great collaboration.

The ferry accommodates up to six people and is pulled from one bank to the other using a hand winch. It connects the Schollevaarkant of the Hoofddiep to De Driehoek and will become a floating part of the Roerdomp Route. This route, soon to be marked as the ‘Forest Ranger Route’, promises to be a valuable addition for hikers.
