Navegistic Intermodal 2025
Last week, Concordia Damen presented itself at the Navegistic Intermodal trade fair in Paraguay. From our stand in the Holland Pavilion, we showcased our expertise, innovative concepts, and solutions to visitors from across the region.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to reinforce our vision for the further development of river logistics in South America.
One of the key outcomes of the fair was the announcement of a new collaboration between Concordia Damen and Aguape in Paraguay.
Our colleague Dirks Meeuwis, who represents Concordia Damen in South America, explained:
“In partnership with Aguape, we are initiating the construction of a new pusher tug, combining advanced technology, international experience, and local craftsmanship. This project marks a significant milestone for the regional shipbuilding industry. Although this collaboration is not a joint venture—both companies will continue to operate independently as autonomous shipyards—we will work through a licensed construction partnership based on Concordia Damen’s design and quality standards. Both parties consider this the beginning of a sustainable, long-term relationship that will add value to shipping in the region.”
A tangible example of our innovative approach is the CDS4115 River Pusher. This vessel is specifically designed for the demanding conditions of the Paraguay and Paraná rivers—especially during low water levels in the dry season. With this design, we offer a reliable solution to the logistical challenges in the area.
We are excited about the opportunities this partnership brings and look forward to the next steps.
