Navegistic Intermodal 2025

Last week, Concordia Damen proudly showcased it’s expertise at the Navegistic Intermodal exhibition in Paraguay. From our stand in the Holland Pavilion, we presented our innovative concepts and solutions to visitors from across the region. This event provided a valuable opportunity to reinforce our vision for the continued development of inland waterway logistics in South America.

New partnerships and perspectives for Paraguay
A key outcome of this exhibition is the announcement of a new partnership between Concordia Damen and Aguape in Paraguay.

Our colleague Dirks Meewis, who represents Concordia Damen in South America, explains:

“In collaboration with Aguape, we are constructing a new river pusher tug that combines advanced technology, international experience, and local craftsmanship. This project marks a significant milestone for the regional shipbuilding industry. While this is not a joint venture—both companies continue to operate independently as autonomous shipyards—we are working together under a licensed construction partnership, based on Concordia Damen’s proven design and quality standards. Both parties view this as the beginning of a long-term, sustainable relationship that will add value to the shipping industry throughout the region.”

A clear example of our innovative approach is the CDS4115 River Pusher. This vessel is specifically designed for the challenging conditions of the Paraguay and Paraná rivers—particularly during periods of low water levels in the dry season. With this design, we offer a reliable solution to the logistical challenges faced in this area.

We are excited about the opportunities arising from this collaboration and look forward to taking the next steps together.
