River Pusher arrives in Rotterdam Port

Our CDS4115 River Pusher, a state-of-the-art 5,400 HP tugboat, has safely arrived in the port of Rotterdam. This vessel, built by Concordia Damen, is part of a contract with Girona S.A., a leading shipowner and operator from Paraguay. The River Pusher will soon be transported to our yard in Werkendam for final outfitting.

The CDS4115 River Pusher is specifically designed to operate on the Paraguay and Parana rivers, where low water levels during the dry season present significant challenges. With a draft of just 6.5 feet and powered by three robust Yanmar engines, this tugboat can operate year-round, even in the most demanding conditions. This new addition to Girona S.A.’s fleet enhances their ability to efficiently transport dry bulk goods along the 2,695 km-long Paraguay river.

After outfitting, representatives from Girona S.A. will travel to the Netherlands for the Sea Acceptance Trials and the final handover of the vessel.
