Concordia Damen builds first Dutch inland vessel powered by hydrogen

Minister Mark Harbers of Infrastructure and Water Management 30 March gave the start at Concordia Damen for the construction of the first Dutch new-build dry cargo vessel that will sail on green #hydrogen. This 135-metre vessel, skipper Harm Lenten’s Antonie, will transport salt for chemical group Nobian from mid 2023.

The project is a collaboration between Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology, Nobian, Lenten Scheepvaart, Concordia Damen Shipbuilding, Energy TransStore and inland shipping cooperation NPRC and contributes to the realization of fossil-free inland shipping.
